Lettris

Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares.

この項目では様々な宗教が説く、神のいる場所について説明しています。伝説上の刀工については天国 (人物)を、仏教における天国については極楽をご覧ください。

天国（てんごく）は、西欧の俗信において、キリスト教の唯一神と天使、聖人ら善き死者たちが行き、在するところを指す。人間は、敬虔なる信仰心と罪を犯さない無垢の人生をもって、はじめて死後に天国へ行けるという。

キリスト教世界における天国

一般に「善き死者の赴く処」とされる天国の概念は、ギリシャ神話のオリンポスや北欧神話のアスガルドとユダヤ・キリスト教の天（＝神の居場所）、イエスの説いた神の国などが民衆レベルで混ざり合って成立しており、純粋なキリスト教の教えとは言えない。キリスト教の教理では、最後の審判以前の死者がどこでどのような状態にあるのかについて、各教派間の統一見解を得るに至っていない。

ダンテの『神曲』では、地球を中心として同心円上に各遊星の取り巻くプトレマイオスの天動説宇宙を天国界とし、恒星天、原動天のさらに上にある至高天を構想していた。

イスラム教における天国

イスラム教では、信教を貫いた者だけが死後に永生を得る所。キリスト教と異なり、イスラム教の聖典『クルアーン』ではイスラームにおける天国の様子が具体的に綴られている。

日本における天国

日本においては来世・あの世の代名詞として、本来仏教及び神道には無い用語であるにも拘らず用いられる。例：故人を指して「天国の誰々」と呼ぶ、など。
