2e sessie van de Commissie voor het Werelderfgoed
De 2e sessie van de Commissie voor het Werelderfgoed vond van 5 september tot 8 september 1978 plaats in Washington in de Verenigde Staten. Dit was de eerste sessie waarbij daadwerkelijk locaties aan de lijst zijn toegevoegd. Er werden 12 nieuwe locaties aan de lijst toegevoegd. Op de rode lijst werden geen locaties toegevoegd.[1] Het totaal aantal inschrijvingen komt hiermee op 12 (8 cultureel erfgoed en 4 natuurlijk erfgoed).
