Carolyn Jeanne Bessette-Kennedy (* 7. Januar 1966 in White Plains, New York als Carolyn Jeanne Bessette; † 16. Juli 1999 in der Nähe von Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts) war die Ehefrau des US-amerikanischen Juristen und Verlegers John F. Kennedy jr..
In New York als Tochter von William J. Bessette und Ann Messina geboren, zog sie mit 8 Jahren nach der Scheidung ihrer Eltern nach Connecticut, wo sie mit ihren beiden Schwestern, den knapp 18 Monate älteren Zwillingen Lauren und Lisa, bei ihrer Mutter und ihrem Stiefvater Richard Freemann aufwuchs. 1988 machte sie ihren Abschluss an der Boston University. Während ihrer Schulzeit wurde sie zur „The Ultimate Beautiful Person“ gewählt. Später arbeitete sie als PR-Beraterin des Modedesigners Calvin Klein in New York, wo sie ihren späteren Ehemann John F. Kennedy Jr., Sohn des US-Präsidenten John F. Kennedy, traf. Das Paar heiratete am 21. September 1996 auf Cumberland Island im US-Bundesstaat Georgia.
Am 16. Juli 1999 kam sie zusammen mit ihrem Ehemann und ihrer Schwester Lauren Bessette bei einem Flugzeugabsturz vor Martha’s Vineyard, einer Insel im Süden des Staates Massachusetts ums Leben, als das von ihrem Ehemann gesteuerte Flugzeug in den Atlantischen Ozean stürzte.
