Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares.

Erich Kosiol
Erich Kosiol (* 18. Februar 1899 in Köln; † 7. September 1990 in Salzburg) war ein Ordinarius für Betriebswirtschaftslehre.

Leben
Kosiol promovierte am 26. Mai 1922 mit einer Arbeit zu den „Grundlagen der Kinematik im hyperbolischen Raum“ an der Universität Bonn zum Dr. phil. Zu seinen akademischen Lehrern zählten Eugen Schmalenbach, Rudolf Seyffert und Ernst Walb. Ab 1928 war er Direktorialassistent und Stellvertreter des Direktors des Einzelhandelsinstituts der Universität zu Köln, an dem zu der Zeit auch Fritz Nordsieck und Hildegard Schröer-Nordsieck als Assistenten tätig waren. 1937 wurde er zum Professor für Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Köln berufen. Bereits 1938 folgte er einem Ruf an die Universität Breslau und wechselte 1939 an die Universität Nürnberg. Ab 1948 lehrte er bis zu seiner Emeritierung an der Freien Universität in Berlin.
Forschungsschwerpunkte
Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte waren u. a. die Betriebswirtschaftliche Organisationslehre und das Rechnungswesen. Bekannt sind vor allem seine Werke zur „pagatorischen Bilanz“ und zur Kostenrechnung.
