"Helicopter" is a song by British band Bloc Party released in 2004. It was written by all band members prior to their debut album, Silent Alarm. In 2005, it would appear as track 2 on the band's debut album. The song has a noticeably fast tempo. Its lyrical influences have been debated, with frontman Kele Okereke disagreeing with rumours several times[citation needed]. "Helicopter" was received with much acclaim, reaching number 29 on the UK Singles Chart on its first release, but failing to chart in the U.S.. Various remixes have been recorded.
