Kayak Walk is an activity were a person walks over lined up kayaks to get from one shore to an other shore.
On September 6th 2009, Dutch Rowing and Canoe Club Michiel de Ruyter in Uithoorn, established two world records for the so-called Kayak Walk;
- fastest time to walk over 25 upside down kayaks.
- to walk over as many possible kayaks upside down. Current World Record: 50 kayaks
Professional Speedskater and former World and Olympic record holder Gianni Romme released the start-shot of the succeeded worldrecord attempt that saw kayakwalker "Max" walk over 50 kayaks.
First the kayaks have to line up, the walker starts from the shore. Upon the starting signal the first kayaks go upside downThe walker will walk over the bottoms of the kayaks and when he has passed,the kayaks can turn upright again.
