WordGame

The English word games are:
○   Anagrams
○   Wildcard, crossword
○   Lettris
○   Boggle.

Lettris

Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares.

boggle

Boggle gives you 3 minutes to find as many words (3 letters or more) as you can in a grid of 16 letters. You can also try the grid of 16 letters. Letters must be adjacent and longer words score better. See if you can get into the grid Hall of Fame !

Physicians for Social Responsibility

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) is a non-profit environmental advocacy organization working mainly against nuclear warfare, nuclear proliferation, global warming, and toxic degradation of the environment. Founded in 1961, it has 32,400 members, 31 chapters, and over 60 "Student PSR" chapters at medical and public health schools as of 2007.[1]

PSR originally opposed atmospheric nuclear testing by documenting the presence of testing byproduct strontium-90 in children's teeth. In the 1970s and 80s, PSR focused on educating the public about the dangers of nuclear warfare, joining International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW). In 1985, PSR shared the Nobel Peace Prize with IPPNW, "for spreading authoritative information and by creating an awareness of the catastrophic consequences of atomic warfare." PSR is also active in the gun control movement, working to ban handguns in the United States.[2][3][4]
