Sissi is one of the most recognized Latin celebrities of the international entertainment industry. She started her professional career in her native Cuba when she was only 4 years old. At 15 she started her television career in the TV show Sabado Conmigo for the TV station Cubavision.
In 1998, Univision, the most important Hispanic television channel in the United States opened its doors to her in the show Sabado Gigante. For more than 8 years her beauty and versatility have been admired in more than 100 million households each Saturday, sharing the stage with Don Francisco presenting dozens of television specials making her an international celebrity.
In 2005, after 8 successful years working with Don Francisco, Sissi shows a new side to her launching a musical production. From 2006 to 2007, Sissi presents “Challenge 20-06, The Great Adventure”, a reality show produced by Caracol Television USA and Latin America with a budget of 5 million dollars. After the success of this production she signs a contract with Television Española to do the Gong Show (2007), an international television broadcast aired in prime time for TVE International, keeping her in her mother country for more than a year.
Among the grand events that have been hosted by Sissi are: The Fox Awards, The Acapulco Festival (Televisa), The Viña Sea Festival (Channel 13 Chile-Univision). At the same time, Sissi has also hosted tele-marathons such as the ones done in Panama, Honduras, Chile, El Salvador and Ecuador.
With thousands of hours of air time in a wide number of diverse shows and formats, Sissi is among the most recognized faces in the world of Hispanic entertainment. She has appeared in numerous magazines such as Maxim en español, People en español, Glamour, and Shape. People magazine selected her as one of the most beautiful Hispanic women in the world, and her calendar was a bestseller in the U.S. She is also recognized as one of the few Hispanic women whose name appears among the largest retail chains in the U.S. such as Wal-Mart, CVS and Walgreens, establishing herself as a focal figure in numerous retail product lines, among them Sissi Latin Beauty and Sissy Hair Accessories.
Sissi has been and continues to be the image and spokesperson of other successful ad campaigns for companies such as: Miller Beer, Miller Light, Kraft Foods, Teléfonos de Honduras, Ford Motors Company, Americatel, Club Musical Latina, Sigue Corp. and La Bella Beauty.
With La Bella, leading company of the beauty industry in the U.S Hispanic market, she launches “La Bella by Sissi”, an exclusive line of personal care products within reach of everybody’s pocketbook.
Since April 2008, the multifaceted Cuban woman writes with great success “Secrets for La Bella”/ “Secrets of SISSI.tv”, a column on beauty, education and motivation with a weekly readership of 6 million readers in the U.S and abroad.
At the end of that same year she launched her own online store www.sissishop.com, with a wide range of specialty products. After the launching of her eighth calendar, Sissi is preparing for new projects in high definition.
Among Sissi’s priorities is her website – www.sissi.tv – official webpage of the artist, destined to further entertain the more than 40.000 fans that visit it each month.
In 2009 Sissi joins her name to the Tadin Herb and Tea Company, converting her into the advertising face for the company in the U.S territory.
