T for Tibet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
T for Tibet is a campaign that was organised by the Free Tibet Campaign. It has photos of celebrities making a 'T' shape with their hands to show their support in freeing Tibet. The campaign was designed to underline the fact that athletes were banned from speaking about Tibet or wearing Tibet-related shirts during the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008. The celebrities photographed include:
- Aggie MacKenzie
- Anna Chancellor
- Jeremy Irons
- Joanna Lumley
- Nitin Sawhney
- Patrick Bergin
- Philip Glenister
- Zaraah Abrahams and many others
All of the original celebrity photos were taken by Clive Arrowsmith. The T for Tibet campaign also encouraged people from around the world to take a photo of themselves making a 'T' shape with their hands, and posting their photo onto the T for Tibet website.
