WXL36 is a NOAA Weather Radio station that serves the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding areas. It is programmed from the National Weather Service forecast office in Las Vegas, Nevada with its transmitter located in Red Mountain near Boulder City, Nevada.
The station operates on a frequency of 162.55 MHz and provides primarily weather forecasts, watches, warnings and advisories for central and southern Clark County in Southern Nevada, including the Las Vegas Valley and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
The Las Vegas Valley is also served by another NOAA Weather Radio transmitter, WNG634, which until 2007 was a simulcast station of WXL36, and transmitted on 162.40 MHz from Mount Potosi.
