The English word games are:

Lettris

Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares.

Boggle gives you 3 minutes to find as many words (3 letters or more) as you can in a grid of 16 letters. You can also try the grid of 16 letters. Letters must be adjacent and longer words score better. See if you can get into the grid Hall of Fame !

ABATAGE (s. m.)

1. Terme forestier. Action d'abattre. L'abatage des bois se fait en automne.

2. En termes de marine, l'abatage d'un bâtiment est l'opération par laquelle on l'incline sur le côté pour l'abattre en carène.

3. En termes d'administration militaire, l'abatage des bestiaux est la mise à mort des animaux destinés à la nourriture de la troupe.

4. En termes de police sanitaire, l'abatage est la mise à mort des grands animaux domestiques, soit parce qu'ils sont vieux ou incurables, soit par précaution, quand ils sont suspects ou atteints d'une maladie contagieuse. L'abatage des chevaux est nécessaire en cas de morve.

5. En termes de vétérinaire, action de renverser et de fixer les grands animaux sur un lit de paille, quand ils doivent subir des opérations chirurgicales.

REMARQUE

L'Académie n'y met qu'un seul t ; mais elle en met deux à abattre ; la conséquence veut qu'on mette deux t à abatage, ou qu'on n'en mette qu'un à abattre.
