Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares.

1. Terme de vénerie. Chien à oreilles pendantes, qui aboie mal à propos, c'est-à-dire sans être sur les voies de la bête. Le veneur n'a point confiance en ce chien ; c'est un clabaud.
2. Par extension. Ce chapeau fait le clabaud, il est clabaud, il a les bords pendants.

ÉTYMOLOGIE
Picard, clabaud, qui a les oreilles pendantes ; wallon, clabot, clochette pendue au cou des animaux ; du germanique : holland. klappen ; allemand klaeffen, bavarder, faire du bruit ; ancien haut allem. klaffôn (comp. GLAPIR). On voit la série des sens : chien qui aboie mal à propos ; mais, ce chien ayant les oreilles pendantes, le mot prend aussi l'acception de pendant, tombant. Ce mot, qui n'est pas très ancien dans la langue, paraît être venu par nos provinces du nord.
