David Wolfe (raw foodist)

From Wikipedia

Jump to: navigation, search

David Wolfe, born August 6, 1970[1] is a raw foodist and raw vegan who is the founder of the company Sunfood Nutrition (previously named Nature's First Law) and the charitable organization The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation.[2] [3] Wolfe has a masters degree in nutrition, and a background in science and mechanical engineering.

He is considered one of the world’s top authorities on the Raw Food movement, with many of the current raw food authors claiming him as inspiration. As the author of the best-selling books Eating for Beauty, The Sunfood Diet Success System, Naked Chocolate, David Wolfe on Raw Foods, Superfoods, and Superherbs , Amazing Grace (3rd Edition), Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future, and The Longevity NOW Program, David Wolfe is one of the most published, and cited, authors on raw food and lifestyle. Because of this he is roundly condemned by most of the anti-raw food nutritionists who see him as encouraging an extreme diet.[says who?]

A frequent comment is that his are the first books that assume a raw food diet and lifestyle was possible without moving to a commune, or out of the city.

David has founded several all-green and eco-friendly businesses, and is one of the primary sources of many of the green diet foods, superfoods, and raw ingredients that are available mail order.By championing environmentally-friendly (yet still profitable) business, he has inspired several others to go into "green" businesses for a living. David is a sound believer in the power of the dollar to bring eco-friendly living into the mainstream.

As an innovative environmentalist, David Wolfe is also the President and Founder of The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation (www.ftpf.org), a non-profit organization with a mission to plant 18 billion fruit trees on planet Earth. David’s organization has planted, to date, tens of thousands of fruit trees in locations spanning from Africa to Canada, from India to Hawaii.

David Wolfe is a public speaker as well as a private consultant on raw foodism and lifestyle. His celebrity fan base includes Woody Harrelson, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Assaraf, Anthony Robbins, Steve Jobs, Angela Bassett, and many others.

David Wolfe is also a gourmet chocolatier. He is a passionate proponent of the healing and beautifying power of raw chocolate (cacao beans). By bringing raw cacao beans and nibs into mainstream distribution throughout North America, David has continued to promote the economies of indigenous cultures through ethical business. His company was responsible for making RAW chocolate available, thus allowing raw chocolate into the available foods for devoted raw foodists. Immediately after this several recipes for Raw cookies, cakes, and brownies were published by several celebrity raw food cooks, including Carol Alt

David Wolfe participated in the film Food Matters, released in 2009, where he talks about the superfoods and their impact on health. David and Megan can be heard in a early Dec. 2009 podcast of the Adam Carolla Podcast.

Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares.

boggle

Boggle gives you 3 minutes to find as many words (3 letters or more) as you can in a grid of 16 letters. You can also try the grid of 16 letters. Letters must be adjacent and longer words score better. See if you can get into the grid Hall of Fame !
