RACI framework is an analytical tool used in Business Process Management that helps to understand and identify the individuals involved in the execution of a certain business process.
RACI stands for the initials of the roles of all the stakeholders involved:
- Responsible: the individual that performs the work
- Accountable: the individual that has the power to modify the business process
- Consulted: the individual that is involved in the process for additional information
- Informed: the individual that needs to be informed about the outcome of the process
